A truck driver in Oregon is facing criminal charges after he was caught with an illegal marijuana edible oil and marijuana hash oil tanker.
A Portland police officer saw the driver, who he didn’t identify, leaving the trailer of a tanker on Tuesday and called 911, The Oregonian reported.
The officer stopped the truck at a local airport and ordered it to stop, but the driver ignored the order, police said.
The officer called for backup and, within seconds, another officer responded to the scene.
The officers said the driver smelled marijuana.
The truck’s odometer showed 8 grams of marijuana.
The Oregonian reports that the driver was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The Oregon Liquor Control Commission is investigating the case.
