The owner of a vegan bakery in the Midwest has come out as a vegan after being asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper whether she’s a vegetarian or not.
The “Viva vegan” bakery is in a small town near Bloomington, Indiana, in Indiana, which is home to the nation’s largest vegan community.
The bakery is located on the property of an Indiana-based family of vegan restaurants called the “Pleasantville Vegan” that specializes in baked goods and salads.
The owner of the bakery, Emily Sacco, has come forward in recent days saying she’s vegan and that she would like to see others join her in being vegan.
Sacco is an outspoken supporter of the Human Rights Campaign, the organization behind the campaign that helped pass the US Supreme Court’s landmark marriage equality ruling.
“I am one of those who is so fortunate to have a partner who is also a vegan and I can see what this can bring to the table,” Sacco said in a recent interview with the Huffington Post.
“I’m one of the fortunate ones who have an amazing family.
It’s not that hard to be vegan, especially for someone like me.”
The owner said she is not trying to hide her identity, but is trying to educate others about the issues facing the vegan community and why people should choose to be vegans.
“My intention here is to be open to all and to talk to other people,” Sace said.
“If someone is looking for a support system and they want to talk about it, they’re welcome to come by my store and chat with me.”
“I’m not trying be anything I’m not,” she said.
The baker said she’s proud of the positive reaction her bakery has received from the community.
“We have received support from the local community, including from local businesses.
I think that’s a really positive sign,” Sacacco said.”
And we have been the subject of many people’s questions,” she added.
Sacco’s comments come as the vegan movement continues to grow.
The number of vegan businesses in the US is on track to reach an all-time high, with the number of businesses in restaurants now more than twice that of two years ago, according to the Vegan Outreach Center.
The vegan restaurant industry is now worth nearly $6 billion and employs more than 4.5 million people in the United States.
The Huffington Post reached out to Sacco for comment on her decision to become a vegan.
We will update this story if and when we hear back.
